The operational gap we solve

Restoration work is only part of the file.

Someone still has to review documentation, build or audit the estimate, compare carrier scope, prepare supplements, organize support, communicate with adjusters and TPAs, and keep the file moving toward agreement.

Estimate backlogs and capacity constraints
Carrier estimates that need line-by-line review
Supplements that need organized support
Files sitting without a defined next action
Owners and PMs buried in claim administration

Contractor collection

Control is visibility. No abandoned files, no undocumented agreement, no ambiguous handoff.

Contractor control

DCW controls the process. You control the business decision.

The contractor approves estimates and substantive supplements, and establishes the authorized tolerance for scope/pricing resolution. Anything outside that authorization returns for written approval.

Written agreement standardImportant scope and pricing agreements should be documented in writing. A phone call alone does not close the file.

Documentation first

Better Claim Control starts with better support.

Depending on the loss, DCW may review photos, sketches, measurements, 3D documentation, moisture documentation, equipment information, contractor scope, estimates, bids, invoices, logs and correspondence.

Field documentation mattersThe contractor obtains missing field documentation. DCW can identify what is missing, but cannot recreate documentation that was never collected.

About Disaster ClaimWorks

Built around restoration operations—not just estimate writing.

Disaster ClaimWorks was created to solve a problem restoration contractors experience every day: completing the restoration work is only part of the job. Estimates still have to be written. Documentation has to support the scope. Carrier estimates need review. Supplements need preparation. Responses need tracking.

Whether you need a single Xactimate estimate, help with an existing problem file, or an outsourced Claim Control partner, DCW provides a defined process from documentation to agreement.

FAQ

Answers for your operations team.

Clear boundaries, clear expectations, and a shared understanding of the path to handoff.

Do you only write Xactimate estimates?

No. Estimate Only is one service. Full-Service clients receive Xactimate estimate preparation plus Claim Control. We also offer Claim Control for contractors who already have an estimate written.

What is Claim Control?

Claim Control is the disciplined contractor-side management of documentation, carrier estimate comparison, supported supplements/revisions, authorized scope/pricing communication, follow-up, written agreement documentation and handoff.

Do you take over our homeowner relationship?

No. The restoration contractor maintains the homeowner/customer relationship. DCW communicates with authorized claim participants as necessary for contractor-side scope and pricing work.

Do you determine insurance coverage?

No. DCW does not make policy or coverage determinations. Coverage issues return to the contractor, insured, carrier or appropriate representative.

What happens when a file reaches a deadlock?

DCW identifies why the file is stuck. The contractor can accept the current documented position, take the file back, or authorize Extended Claim Control.

What happens after agreement?

DCW prepares the handoff. The restoration contractor then handles final invoicing, deductible/customer balances, mortgage-company requirements, collections, AR, liens and other post-handoff payment activity.
